Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will manage all the financial-related activities of the Gough Family Office. The business invests in around thirty entities including some of New Zealand’s leading branded businesses including Alvarium, Mike Greer Homes, Mons Royale and House of Travel.  Providing financial management and reporting for these entities, the CFO will work within the small Gough Family Office team providing strategic and commercial advice, as well as planning and compliance functions. Key responsibilities will also include treasury and funding, M&A and investment analysis and monitoring, risk management, and the development of systems and processes. The role will involve working closely with the CEO, providing timely and accurate Board reports, managing banking relationships, and providing advisory services to the investment entities.

 

Applicants will demonstrate the following attributes:

 

  • CA qualified, commercial acumen and strong analytical, due diligence and reporting skills.
  • Experience in financial or professional services or investment management preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making and advisory skills.
  • A resourceful and self-sufficient capability with proven initiative and multi-tasking skills.
  • The ability to work with urgency whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
  • An appreciation for a family-owned investment and philanthropic organisation.
