Tait Communications is a privately owned, New Zealand based company at the leading edge of innovative design, manufacture and solutions partnering with international customers in servicing their critical communications needs.  The company services numerous global industry sectors including emergency services, law enforcement, transport, logistics, utilities, and mining. Whilst the corporate functions are based at the Head Office in Christchurch, New Zealand, the company prides itself on its international customer base and global support network with offices in Australia, Cambridge, Vienna, Brazil, and the USA, supported by a network of international sales support offices. R&D and manufacturing is based in Christchurch with 90% of product exported to customers globally.

 

Reporting to the CEO as a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Services Officer (CSO) will play a pivotal role shaping and executing the organisation’s change agenda, and solutions convergence strategy.  Creating and delivering a strategy to ensure the profitable growth and ongoing effectiveness of the Services and Solutions offerings as technology rapidly progresses will be key. Building trusted partnerships, building the team’s convergent technologies capability, delivering world-leading solutions, championing quality and ensuring customer expectations are met for the present and the future are all key aspects to this role. Providing visionary leadership to ensure productive, innovative and future-focused service delivery is critical. Collaborating with Tait Communications’ global regional operations, the CSO will lead the development of consistent global practices across the delivery of all Tait products and solutions, including a Project Management Office.

 

Applicants will demonstrate the following:

 

  • Proven transformative leadership of a leading edge global critical communications business
  • Demonstrated team and solutions delivery capability development.
  • An understanding of Information Technology in support of SaaS, Cloud Computing and Subscription Services shaping the vision to identify potential future market offerings.
  • International senior executive experience in a smart technology discipline.
  • Company-wide strategic planning, financial and commercial expertise.
  • A collaborative, agile, customer focused and partnering approach.

 

This newly created role is critical to the delivery of the next phase of Tait Communications’ global strategic journey.
