Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Group Communications Manager will lead the development and delivery of Ravensdown’s communications strategy, ensuring the Ravensdown brand is effectively and consistently represented. Key accountabilities will include curating and implementing content, leading communications campaigns, and ensuring that key stakeholders and shareholders are appropriately informed and effectively engaged. The role includes supporting the Board Chair, CEO and senior leadership team in their communications delivery.

 

The Group Communications Manager will work across all business units to develop key communications and identify the most appropriate channels for their delivery. The external facing aspects of the role will include media and public relations, key stakeholder management including CRIs and other agri sector organisations, and farming sector advocacy.

 

Applicants will demonstrate the following:

 

  • A reputation for developing and delivering effective communications strategies.
  • Experience writing and curating engaging content across all channels including digital and social media.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Existing relevant influential networks with media, politicians, Government agencies and agri-research.
  • Attention to detail, agility, responsiveness, strategic thinking ability and a reputation for delivery.
  • A belief in the future of New Zealand farming and the impact of Ravensdown.
